Update August 9th, 2021
Extreme fires taking place across Greece these days have put people and animals (wild and domesticated) in great danger and even greater need. Huge forests have been burned down in just a few hours. We immediately took the initiative to change the cause of this campaign to help Greece. The gathered funds now go to ANIMAwild to help injured wild animals and to We4All to help with reforestation in the fire-affected areas starting from September 2021.

Update August 4th, 2021
Given the circumstances in Greece right now, we decided to give the funds raised from your recent orders (currently close to 150€) to @we4all_official to contribute as quickly as possible to regenerating our sources of clean air in Greece.
Sadly, our country has suffered from more than 80 fires in 2 -horrible- days, and we can only sit on our screen feeling angry and devastated but also feeling unable to help. We4all charity announced earlier today their need for funds to plant 1 million trees in fire-affected areas and educate 1 thousand young people on environmental ways.
We immediately thought ''that's it!'' Contributing to recreating our forests is what we can all do no matter how far we are from the disaster.

Cancel Black Friday, support Green Friday, and plant trees!
This Friday, we won’t be doing a ‘’today only’’ sale that pushes everyone for short-term mindless consumption. ''Green Friday'' is a chance for thoughtful/conscious purchases, a chance to switch your mindset from “buy, buy, buy” to finding alternative ways to take care of yourself, your skin, and your heart, to give gifts for Christmas or anything, in a way that we won’t cause any further damage to the Earth. Instead of telling yourself ''ll buy it because it’s cheap now, at one point I might need it'', buy something which is useful (or nothing at all). So here is what we suggest:
Support Green Friday at FISIKA which will last not only one day but until Christmas!
Instead of giving you a ‘’today-only discount’’, your ''discount'' becomes a ''10% donation'' to plant trees! For certain products (let's call them ''giving'') purchased on our website, 10% of the price will be donated to plant trees. Simple! For example, for every 50€ you spend at fisikashop.com on the giving products, 5€ will be donated.

Where does the donation go?
For every 5€ that gets donated to TreeAid every month over a year (so, for every 60€ we donate at once) 6 life-changing trees like mango, papaya, apple, shea, baobab, and others, will be planted. These trees will give a family nutritious food and produce to sell all year round in the drylands of Africa’s Sahel, where over 300 million people’s lives are affected by a drastic reduction in fertile land and the climate crisis. Locals will be getting educational support to care for the trees and be able to consume and sell the fruits.
When you spend 100€ on the giving products, you are officially a TreeAid giver! The 10€ of your purchase will help us buy a good-sized fruit-giving tree for a family to start caring for and get food and income from. If you can't spend that much, worry not, even your smallest contribution will help us raise the money needed- you'll be a TreeAid contributor!

Our goal is to raise these funds by the end of November (including cyber Monday too), but we may extend it till Christmas if necessary. Your donating-order will be delivered to you with your goodies and a donation thank you card. You will be also notified via email when the funds are transferred and get a full report on what we, together, will have accomplished. How many trees, what kind of trees, etc.
PS. If you are struggling with money issues -like who doesn’t?- and you need to get the best possible price eg. for a washing machine that’s okay, waiting for that once a year deal is completely understandable. But what we’re trying to convey here is that it should be a ''need'' and not a ''want''.

Où va le don?
Pour chaque 5 € qui est reversé à TreeAid chaque mois sur un an (donc, pour chaque 60 € que nous donnons à la fois), 6 arbres fruitiers qui changent la vie des habitants comme la mangue, la papaye, la pomme, le karité, le baobab et autres, seront plantés. Ces arbres donneront à la famille des aliments nutritifs et des produits à vendre toute l’année dans les zones arides du Sahel africain, où la vie de plus de 300 millions de personnes est affectée par une réduction drastique des terres fertiles et la crise climatique. Les habitants recevront un soutien éducatif pour prendre soin des arbres et pouvoir consommer et/ ou vendre les fruits.
Lorsque vous dépensez 100 € sur les produits offerts, vous êtes officiellement un donneur TreeAid! Les 10 € de votre achat nous aideront à acheter un arbre fruitier de bonne taille pour qu'une famille commence à s'en occuper et à obtenir de la nourriture et des revenus. PS. Si vous êtes en difficulté financièrement - qui ne l’a jamais été? - et que vous devez obtenir le meilleur prix possible, par exemple. pour une machine à laver ce n’est pas grave, c’est tout à fait compréhensible d’attendre cette offre une fois par an. Mais ce que nous essayons de transmettre ici, c'est qu'il devrait s'agir d'un «besoin» et non d'un «désir».
