Halloween with no tricks! Just treats for your skin!

We had a blast on Halloween! Actually, there were no Halloween-themed parties or eerie events here on Crete island, but we still found the way to get into the spooky spirit. We celebrated dressing up in the simplest costumes, with gross-looking yet delicious pumpkin drinks in hand, and watched 2 old time classic scary movies -The Adams family and the Beetlejuice. Then, got rid of the silly faces with our skin tonic Baby oil (used as a gentle makeup remover), bathed and enjoyed these wickedly good skin treats: our rejuvenating -so reviving it could wake up the dead (not)- Orange facial soap bar, and the spooky, smelly (tea-tree is a life saviour but let's be honest- it kinda stinks) Skincare balm that boosts atopic skin and softens the eczema-prone skin.

Maria dressed up as raven.

We actually don't really celebrate Halloween here in Greece. But, just recently, after chatting with some customers from the USA and the UK, we got to learn about the roots of this festivity and got hooked. It's said to be originating back to the ancient times when it was believed that on October 31st the ghosts of the dead returned to earth. People would set up places at their dinner tables to welcome the good spirits, and dressed up in scary costumes impersonating the souls of the dead to protect themselves from demons and evil spirits.

Filio's sister dressed up as an owl.

We decided to dress up as birds: Filio as a mythical phoenix, Maria as a dark raven and me, and Filio's sister, as a very kind and not at all spooky, white owl. Our costume idea came up during our morning walk while watching birds up in the sky, flying as free spirits, neither good or evil, just free. What do you think?
